Channel Partner Lead




Role Overview

The Channel Partner Lead is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the company’s ecosystem of channel partners—resellers, distributors, system integrators, and strategic alliances. This role focuses on expanding market reach, driving revenue through partner-driven sales motions, and building strong, scalable partner relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit new channel partners aligned with business strategy and target markets.

  • Lead due diligence, contract negotiation, and onboarding processes.

  • Develop partner segmentation strategies (e.g., tiering, regional focus, specialization).

2. Partner Enablement & Engagement

  • Create and deliver training on product offerings, sales processes, and value propositions.

  • Equip partners with sales kits, marketing collateral, and technical resources.

  • Conduct regular partner business reviews (PBRs) to track performance, opportunities, and challenges.

3. Revenue Growth & Channel Performance

  • Own channel revenue targets and drive sales through partner-led opportunities.

  • Monitor pipeline, forecast partner contribution, and ensure timely sales closure.

  • Design incentive programs—including rebates, MDF (Market Development Funds), and performance rewards.

4. Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key partners.

  • Resolve operational issues and foster long-term, high-trust relationships.

  • Ensure partners adhere to brand standards, ethical practices, and compliance requirements.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal sales, marketing, product, finance, and customer success teams.

  • Provide market and partner insights to influence product strategy and GTM planning.

  • Collaborate with marketing to execute joint campaigns, events, and partner-driven demand generation.

6. Reporting & Analytics

  • Track partner KPIs (pipeline, revenue, activation rates, deal velocity).

  • Prepare dashboards and monthly/quarterly reports for leadership.

  • Analyze performance trends to improve program effectiveness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 5–10+ years experience in channel management, partnerships, or B2B sales (depending on seniority).

  • Strong understanding of channel ecosystems and indirect sales models.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

  • Ability to travel as needed for partner meetings, events, and trainings.




Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in [industry: SaaS / IT / Telecom / Manufacturing / Fintech—choose one].

  • Proven track record of scaling channel partner networks.

  • Understanding of partner incentives, MDF management, and co-marketing programs.

  • Familiarity with partner portals and PRM (Partner Relationship Management) platforms.
