A Product Marketing Manager (PMM) is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to effectively position, promote, and drive the adoption of a product or product line. The PMM works closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing, to ensure the product’s success in the market.
Develop clear and compelling product positioning, value propositions, and messaging tailored to target audiences.
Ensure messaging aligns with the company's overall brand and resonates with customer needs.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Gather insights on target personas, pain points, and market opportunities to inform strategies.
Design and implement GTM strategies for new product launches and feature updates.
Collaborate with product and sales teams to define pricing, packaging, and distribution strategies.
Create sales enablement tools such as presentations, brochures, FAQs, and battle cards to support the sales team.
Train sales teams on product features, benefits, and target audience insights.
Develop content assets including white papers, blogs, case studies, videos, webinars, and website copy.
Oversee the creation of marketing collateral to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive product awareness, demand generation, and lead acquisition.
Track and analyze campaign performance metrics and optimize efforts for maximum ROI.
Work with customer success teams to identify and promote customer success stories and testimonials.
Develop case studies, reference programs, and user-generated content to showcase product value.
Partner with product management to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and product roadmaps.
Collaborate with digital marketing and social media teams to amplify product awareness.
Use analytics tools to monitor market performance and customer engagement.
Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as adoption rates, churn, and campaign ROI to stakeholders.
Act as a product expert throughout the product lifecycle, from launch to end-of-life.
Develop strategies to maintain product relevance in the market.
Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and other marketing platforms.
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
