Product Marketing Manager

A Product Marketing Manager (PMM) is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to effectively position, promote, and drive the adoption of a product or product line. The PMM works closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing, to ensure the product’s success in the market.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Positioning and Messaging

  • Develop clear and compelling product positioning, value propositions, and messaging tailored to target audiences.

  • Ensure messaging aligns with the company's overall brand and resonates with customer needs.

2. Market Research and Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.

  • Gather insights on target personas, pain points, and market opportunities to inform strategies.

3. Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy

  • Design and implement GTM strategies for new product launches and feature updates.

  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to define pricing, packaging, and distribution strategies.

4. Sales Enablement

  • Create sales enablement tools such as presentations, brochures, FAQs, and battle cards to support the sales team.

  • Train sales teams on product features, benefits, and target audience insights.

5. Content Development

  • Develop content assets including white papers, blogs, case studies, videos, webinars, and website copy.

  • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.

6. Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive product awareness, demand generation, and lead acquisition.

  • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics and optimize efforts for maximum ROI.

7. Customer Advocacy

  • Work with customer success teams to identify and promote customer success stories and testimonials.

  • Develop case studies, reference programs, and user-generated content to showcase product value.

8. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams

  • Partner with product management to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and product roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with digital marketing and social media teams to amplify product awareness.

9. Data-Driven Insights

  • Use analytics tools to monitor market performance and customer engagement.

  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as adoption rates, churn, and campaign ROI to stakeholders.

10. Product Lifecycle Management

  • Act as a product expert throughout the product lifecycle, from launch to end-of-life.

  • Develop strategies to maintain product relevance in the market.




Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and other marketing platforms.

  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

  • Team player with excellent collaboration and project management skills.
